Parameters

|1= (required): A language code.
|2= (optional): A word, the word used to name the dataset. If not given, the fallback is the current pagename.

Module:dialect synonyms/und / Module:dialect synonyms/und/word is a sample of features, and can be used as a reference for adding new languages.

Module:dialect synonyms/ko is also a good reference.

Naming

In regard to module naming (using yo and the word funfun as an example):

Module:dialect synonyms/yo contains the information on Yoruba locations and table layout;
Module:dialect synonyms/yo/funfun contains information on synonyms of funfun (verb).
-<number> can be appended to add information on words with the same form: Module:dialect synonyms/yo/funfun-1 contains information on synonyms of funfun (noun).
Module:dialect synonyms/yo/ is an empty model that will be preloaded when starting a new synonyms dataset (to see this in action, click on the link in →Create Module:dialect synonyms/yo?);

Syntax

In regard to term syntax, see Module:dialect synonyms/und/word for examples. In particular:

今_2/the transliteration:the qualifier is syntax inherited from Module:zh-dial-syn.
- _2 is converted to the anchor #Etymology_2. This is liable to break for any language that does not appear early in header order (i.e. any language that is not English or Chinese). Do not use this.
Words can also take the form of a Module:links#export.full_link object.
- will produce [N/A].

Other features

The syntax Module:dialect synonyms/<language code>:<qualifier>/<neutral English term> is also supported, in anticipation of future migration from Module:zh-Christian-syn (Module:zh/data/Christian-syn/amen→Module:dialect synonyms/zh:Christian/amen).

Latitude and longitude can be added to the location information, in anticipation of an equivalent to {{zh-dial-map}}. However, such a map has not been coded yet. In addition, deriving latitude and longitude from Wikidata would probably be more economical.
